IOSOT2016 will continue the long-standing tradition to offer some cultural events and receptions during the evening programme.
The following is planned for the week of 4-9 September 2016:

Sunday, 4 September: Opening concert and reception

Following the presidential opening address by the IOSOT president Johann Cook, a gala concert will be offered in the Endler Hall of the Conservatory for Music, as well as a “finger food” reception and drinks. |
Monday, 5 September: Organ concert and reception Cost: Included in registration fee |
An organ concert by renowned Stellenbosch musicians hosted in the neo-barock Dutch Reformed Moederkerk (“mother church”), the second oldest Christian congregation in South Africa. This will be followed by a “finger food” reception and drinks. |
Tuesday, 6 September: Choir music and reception
Cost: Included in registration fee |
A performance of the world famous Libertas Choir in the auditorium of the beautiful Faculty of Theology. This will be followed by a “finger food” reception and drinks. |
Wednesday, 7 September: Traditional South African “braaivleis” (barbecue)
Cost: €15 per person (additional to registration fee) |
Informal traditional barbecue on open fire; Wine/juice included. |
Thursday, 8 September: Conference dinner
Cost: €40 per person (additional to registration fee) |
Formal three-course meal; Wine/juice included. |
During the registration process you will be able to register for the “braaivleis” and/or conference dinner options. The other events are included in the registration fee.
